Job summary

Dover Precision Components in the United States is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate milling machines to produce precision metal parts. You will read blueprints, select cutting parameters, and verify tolerances on high-precision components used in energy, Aerospace, and industrial applications.

The role requires extensive experience with CNC/manual milling, GD&T, and the ability to interpret complex drawings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in milling or related trades.
• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school preferred.
• Experience with GD&T and finishing tight-tolerance components.

Responsibilities

• Studies blueprints or layout to determine sequence of operations and dimensions.
• Sets up and operates milling machines to machine surfaces on metal workpieces.
• Selects feed rate, cutting speed, and depth of cut for operations.
• Mounts cutters and positions workpieces relative to each other.
• Verifies alignment and completes machining with accurate tolerances.
• Operates coolant systems and engages automatic feed as required.
• Mills nonmetallic materials as needed.
