Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Managing Counsel - Corporate Payments to join the team remotely from the United States. You will lead a legal team, partner with product, commercial, marketing, and business units to enable growth while managing risk across the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D., with 8+ years of legal experience (in-house preferred) and a background in payments. You will draft and negotiate agreements, review marketing materials, resolve disputes, and drive process

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
8+ years of legal practice, preferably in-house.
Experience structuring and negotiating commercial transactions.
Background in payments and financial services industries.
Proficiency with legal matter management and AI tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage and supervise a legal team.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of legal professionals supporting the corporate payments business.
Draft, review, and negotiate customer and partner agreements.
Provide legal advice throughout the product lifecycle.
Identify and manage legal risks and issues.
Review marketing materials for compliance.
Resolve contractual queries and pre-litigation disputes.
Drive process improvements in commercial contracting.
