Job summary

Hapco Pole Products seeks a Safety Manager to lead safety programs across multiple manufacturing sites in the United States, reporting to the VP of Operations. The role focuses on enforcing compliance, risk mitigation, and a culture of continuous safety improvement.

The ideal candidate will oversee program development, partner with plant leadership, and deliver training on safety initiatives, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, or related field.
• Five or more years of Industry Safety experience preferred.
• FA/CPR/AED Certification preferred.
• CSP/ASP/OHST Certification desirable.
• 511 Certification desirable.
• OSHA 501 Certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Establish standardized safety policies, procedures, and best practices for consistency and effectiveness.
• Drive safety performance through defined metrics, accountability structures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a culture of proactive risk identification and injury prevention.
• Coordinate implementation of company-wide safety initiatives.
• Lead safety discussions at Tailgate Meetings and Safety Committee Meetings.
• Deliver training on Safety Initiatives, Work Procedures, Work Instructions, and regulatory requirements.

Job description

The Safety Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership and execution of workplace safety programs across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role ensures organizational compliance with all applicable safety regulations while fostering a culture of operational discipline, hazard awareness, and continuous safety improvement.

Working in close partnership with plant leadership and cross-functional teams, the Safety Manager drives consistency in safety standards, strengthens risk mitigation practices, and enhances overall safety performance across all locations. This position reports directly to the VP, Operations.

Key Responsibilities Safety Program Leadership

• Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs across multiple manufacturing sites.
