Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience; includes leading engineers or engineering managers
• Experience leading application development or modernization on IBM i (AS400) platforms
• Hands-on knowledge of RPG IV, free-form RPG, modular RPG, CL, and enterprise software development practices
• Experience designing or delivering APIs, integrations, or service-oriented solutions
• Experience leading Agile software development teams and software delivery programs
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and application lifecycle management
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams responsible for enterprise applications on IBM i (AS400) platforms, mainly in Warehouse Management Space
• Define and execute application modernization strategies: modular RPG development, API enablement, legacy transformation
• Drive delivery of high-quality software solutions using Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to prioritize roadmaps and deliver measurable business outcomes
• Establish engineering standards, governance processes, and performance metrics to improve quality and reliability
• Evaluate emerging technologies to support innovation and long-term strategy
• Manage engineering managers and technical teams including workforce planning and talent development
• Leverage AI-assisted development capabilities to improve productivity and accelerate value
