Job summary

Fidelity Investments in Durham, NC seeks a Senior Manager to lead time away from work programs, partnering with HR, Legal, Compliance, and operations to design, govern, and enhance program offerings while ensuring regulatory alignment and exceptional associate experience.

You will translate business needs into program changes, guide cross-functional teams, and build data-driven insights to measure impact and drive strategic decisions across the Benefits function.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in benefits, leave of absence administration, HR policy, compliance, or related programs
  • Strong knowledge of time away programs, including applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and driving program, policy, or process changes from strategy and planning through implementation and execution
  • Proven analytical capabilities with experience using data, metrics, and insights to identify trends, develop recommendations, and support decision-making
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across HR, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and business stakeholders
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment
  • Skilled at navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems, and balancing operational needs, associate experience, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS, leave management, or benefits administration systems preferred
  • Assist with various projects; and other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

The Role

As the Senior Manager, Time Away from Work Programs, you will support the Director of Time Off Strategy and Benefits Insights in designing, implementing, governing, and continuously enhancing Fidelity's time away from work programs. You will collaborate across Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, business unit capacity planning teams, and external vendors and industry groups to deliver time away programs that provide an exceptional associate experience while maintaining operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

As a subject matter expert, you will translate business needs and market trends into program enhancements, lead cross-functional initiatives, and help drive the execution of Fidelity's time away from work strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess program performance, utilization trends, market practices, and associate feedback to develop recommendations and business cases that support the evolution of Fidelity's time away from work offerings
  • Coordinate cross-functional working teams, manage policy and program implementations, maintain program documentation and administrative guidelines, and ensure consistent interpretation and application of time away policies

The Expertise and Skills you Bring

The Team

This role reports into the Head of Financial and Work Life Benefits.

The Benefits team is a small but powerful team within the Human Resources function, and our job is to ensure that associate benefit offerings are delivering value to our associates, their families and Fidelity. We listen to associate feedback, benchmark the competition, and then measure every one of the 50 plus programs for which we are responsible.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
