Job summary

Abbott in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Manager for Third-Party Manufacturing - Process Development and Operations to lead engineers and manage partner manufacturing activities across the product lifecycle. The role ensures robust, compliant processes and readiness for new product introductions in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will liaise with internal and external teams, drive cost improvements, and guide ongoing development to ensure quality and supply targets are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers supporting third-party manufacturing partners throughout product development, commercialization, and lifecycle management.
• Drive process characterization and validation activities under design controls.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness for new product introductions, line extensions, and transfers.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory and other departments to meet quality, cost and supply targets.
• Identify and implement year-over-year cost savings and cost reduction projects.
• Mentor and develop staff, set goals, and manage execution through coaching.
