Job summary

Abbott Laboratories seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Woodridge – St Paul, MN location in the Structural Heart business. The role focuses on supporting manufacturing operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring production goals are met.

You will monitor equipment performance, address non-conformances, and collaborate with Quality and R&D to integrate new products and processes into the production area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 6 years related work experience
• Experience in a quality system environment
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and cross-functional dependencies/relationships

Responsibilities

• Initiates and completes technical activities leading to new or improved processes for current programs and next generation programs.
• Prepares reports, publishes, and makes presentations to communicate findings.
• Analyzes and solves problems from basic engineering principles and concepts through to complex problems requiring novel approaches.
• Mentors employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
• Interacts cross-functionally with internal and external customers and serves as a consultant on significant matters.
