University of Chicago seeks a Senior Manager for the Polsky Center’s Business Development & Licensing team. You will cultivate relationships with faculty across the university, assess translational research opportunities, and work with industry partners and investors to license inventions and bring them to market.

You will join a multidisciplinary team handling patenting, contract negotiations, and business development, supporting deals from identification to execution and compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: college/university degree in a related field (minimum).
• Experience: 2–5 years in a related discipline.

Responsabilités

• Draft, negotiate, and manage intellectual property licenses and related agreements.
• Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and industry partners to meet transactional objectives.
• Screen inventions for commercialization potential and advise on IP protection processes.
• Support marketing outreach for IP assets and coordinate cross-functional teams.
