Symbotic is seeking a Senior Manager, Systems Test and Software Quality Assurance to lead a high-performing team and drive the overarching software quality assurance vision across multi-tier platforms.

You will architect realistic site-level simulations, embed AI-assisted testing tooling into CI/CD, and oversee end-to-end test programs spanning microservices, APIs, and multi-system integrations with customers and stakeholders. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of progressive QA/test engineering experience with track record of managing and scaling a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience leading customer-facing System Integration Testing and building realistic site-level simulations.
• Expertise in KPIs like throughput, latency, error budgets, and release readiness gates.
• Deep background validating distributed systems, microservices, SOA, REST/gRPC APIs, and messaging brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AMQP).
• Hands-on experience integrating test frameworks, emulators, and CI/CD tools into IaC environments (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency with SQL and various testing methodologies (Black Box, API, Regression, Integration, End-to-End, Load/Stress, UAT); AI-assisted QA tooling preferred.

Responsabilités

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of senior system test and QA engineers.
• Drive the overarching QA vision, modern verification standards, and compliance across software, hardware, and automation platforms.
• Architect site-level customer simulation environments to benchmark scale, throughput, latency, and error budgets.
• Embed automated test frameworks, emulators, and AI-assisted tooling into CI/CD pipelines and IaC environments.
• Oversee end-to-end test programs spanning microservices, APIs, multi-system integrations and System Integration Testing with stakeholders.
• Decompose roadmaps into phased test plans and manage Release Readiness testing for deployment scenarios.
• Collaborate across Engineering, DevOps, Systems Architecture, and Site Operations; travel up to 10%.
