Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Senior Test Engineer (EE) to lead electrical test architecture for complex electromechanical and robotic systems. You will design PCBA/test fixtures, manage hardware bring-up, and develop Python-based test frameworks while partnering with hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities include deploying tests at multiple sites and CMs, mentoring engineers, and driving test improvements. Travel up to 20% is expected; hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of hands-on electrical hardware design, manufacturing test engineering or system validation.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCBA design using Altium or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of electrical schematics, PCBA, and interface boards for test fixtures.
• Own end-to-end hardware bring-up including component selection and debugging.
• Architect scalable test systems with DAQ, power distribution, relays, and signal conditioning.
• Develop automated test software in Python for instrument control and data logging.
• Perform advanced electrical debugging with scopes, analyzers, and meters.
• Lead deployment and support across sites and contract manufacturers.
• Analyze test data and drive reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and mentor juniors.
