Job summary

Symbotic seeks a Senior Manager, Systems Test and Software Quality Assurance to lead a high-performing QA team within Software Quality Assurance, shaping verification standards and quality gates across software, hardware, and automation platforms. You will drive end-to-end testing, integrate AI-assisted tooling into CI/CD, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure readiness for deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive quality assurance or test engineering experience with team leadership.
• Experience leading customer-facing System Integration Testing and site-level simulation environments.
• Strong background in REST/gRPC APIs, microservices, and asynchronous messaging like Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and IaC (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of senior QA engineers with accountability for quality outcomes.
• Formulate and drive the software quality vision, standards, and gates across software, hardware, and automation platforms.
• Architect site-level simulation environments to benchmark scale, latency, throughput, and error budgets.
• Embed automated test frameworks and AI-assisted tooling into CI/CD pipelines and cloud/on-prem environments.
• Oversee end-to-end test programs across microservices, APIs, and multi-system integrations with customers.
• Translate roadmaps into phased subsystem test plans and manage release readiness testing.
• Collaborate across engineering, DevOps, and customer operations; travel up to 10%.
