Job summary

Form Energy is seeking an exceptional Sr. Manager of Systems Engineering to shape the architecture, MBSE workflows, and requirements management for multi‑day energy storage systems.

You will mentor a high‑performing team, bridging hardware and software to deliver safe, compliant products on schedule. Relocation assistance is available as the company scales manufacturing and product development across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with requirement management tools such as Jama, Polarion or DOORS.
• Proficiency in SysML and MBSE tools, specifically Catia Magic.
• Strong command of the V‑model, ASPICE, and functional decomposition processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or UL 1998 safety standards.
• Experience with formal verification methods or advanced state machine design reviews.
• Proven ability to drive cross‑functional alignment between hardware and software teams.
• 10+ years of professional Systems Engineering or related leadership experience; 5+ years of people management.

Responsibilities

• Lead decomposition of high‑level system requirements into actionable, traceable subsystem specifications.
• Ensure all requirements are linked within requirement management tools.
• Drive functional decomposition using MBSE tools to develop architectures.
• Establish and manage Interface Control Documents for interfaces between subsystems.
• Champion System Engineering processes and design coverage for hardware and software teams.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing systems engineering team.
• Coordinate with Hardware, Software, Test, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and track metrics for requirement, design, and verification coverage.
