Job summary

Qcells North America in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Sr. Manager of System Test and Validation to lead the System Test team and own end-to-end testing strategy for AC modules, inverters, ESS, and integrated software.

This role interfaces with development and QA to ensure requirements are met and travels ~20% for facilities testing. You will oversee a team of hardware, systems, and software engineers, collaborate with product management, and drive automation and lab expansion to support

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 5–10 years of technical expertise in solar modules, inverters, energy storage, and HW/SW systems.
• Extensive experience in complex system product level testing and end-to-end testing.
• Experience writing test plans from user stories or acceptance criteria.
• Strong communication with technical teams and leadership; experience with IOT, databases, and solar/ESS control.
• Experience with test automation best practices and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Experience collaborating with hardware and software teams; testing apps/UI.
• Proficiency in Python or other languages; data science and analytics on large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute comprehensive product test strategy programs.
• Lead a team of hardware, systems, and software engineers focused on testing and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional hardware and software organizations to meet system test requirements.
• Align Alpha test plans with user acceptance and product requirements.
• Lead lab capability expansion of Santa Clara and other facilities.
• Drive automation initiatives for testing and Beta program collaboration.
• Work with external testing partners and stay updated on industry standards.
• Foster accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
