Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Strategic Account Manager to lead government and prime contractor relationships in Colorado. You will own a multi-year account strategy, oversee P&L inputs, revenue forecasts, and contract continuity to drive sustained growth.

You will coordinate across Product, Engineering, Services, Capture, and Finance, deliver executive briefings, and shape win themes and capture strategies.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Person eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
  • Experience in government contracting, strategic account management, or related leadership roles.
  • Track record managing high-value strategic accounts and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience managing account-level P&L, revenue forecasts, margin performance.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Services, Capture, Finance, Contracts, and Legal.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition, contract structures, funding profiles, procurement cycles, compliance.
  • Experience building executive relationships and leading customer briefings, strategic reviews, negotiations, escalations, and engagement plans.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar opportunity-management systems to maintain pipeline visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of government and prime contractor accounts and oversee account health, P&L inputs, revenue forecasts, and margins.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute multi-year account strategies aligned with customer priorities and growth objectives.
  • Identify and pursue unmet customer needs and growth opportunities through extensions, recompetes, task orders, and capability expansion.
  • Maintain a forward-looking, data-driven pipeline using Salesforce and structured opportunity-management practices.
  • Own senior-level relationships with government decision-makers, program leaders, contracting officials, and prime contractor executives.
  • Lead executive briefings, strategic account reviews, engagement plans, negotiations, and escalations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of contract structures, scope, funding profiles, performance metrics, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead and oversee Program Managers responsible for execution, delivery, and customer success.
  • Orchestrate complex, multi-product solutions across Product, Engineering, and Services.
  • Translate customer mission requirements into internal priorities, roadmap inputs, investment decisions, capture strategies, win themes, and bid/no-bid recommendations.
  • Coordinate delivery, capture, business development, finance, and leadership teams to support unified execution and resolve risks.
  • Foster cross-program collaboration, engage onsite leadership, and provide targeted product education.

Job description

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident, Asylee, or Refugee
  • Ability to obtain security clearance; TS/SCI preferred
  • Experience in government contracting, strategic account management, business development, or customer and program leadership supporting government and/or prime contractor accounts
  • Track record managing high-value strategic accounts and driving revenue growth, account expansion, program sustainment, renewals, recompetes, task orders, and contract continuity
  • Experience managing account-level P&L inputs, revenue forecasts, margin performance, portfolio health, and growth targets
  • Experience leading Program Managers and coordinating complex, cross-functional work across Product, Engineering, Services, Capture, Finance, Contracts, Legal, and senior leadership
  • Working knowledge of federal acquisition, contract structures and vehicles, funding profiles, procurement cycles, compliance requirements, and customer mission priorities
  • Experience building executive relationships and leading customer briefings, strategic reviews, negotiations, escalations, and structured engagement plans
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar structured opportunity-management system to maintain pipeline visibility, forecasts, and account plans
  • Experience supporting both government and prime contractor accounts across multiple programs, organizations, or mission sets
  • Experience positioning integrated product and service solutions across multiple business units
  • Experience shaping capture strategies, win themes, bid/no-bid decisions, and multi-year pursuits
  • Experience sustaining or expanding programs through existing contract vehicles and helping shape new contract vehicles
