Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing/manufacturing engineering.
• 2+ years of direct people management or technical leadership experience.
• Experience developing and implementing new manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a team of manufacturing engineers across levels.
• Set clear performance expectations and conduct formal reviews.
• Foster an inclusive, safe, high-accountability culture.
• Manage headcount planning, capacity forecasting, and staffing decisions.
• Define and own the manufacturing engineering strategy for your product area.
• Lead development of advanced rocket manufacturing processes to improve quality and reduce cost.
• Champion DFMA and PFMEA across your team, ensuring feedback between design, build, and test.
• Establish and maintain a roadmap for manufacturing process maturation from development through production.
• Drive make-versus-buy analyses and provide manufacturing inputs to program decisions.
• Oversee work instructions, drawing reviews, and final manufacturing approvals.
