Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Senior Manager – Ski Lift Maintenance (Electrical) to lead the lift electrical maintenance program across the resort, ensuring safety and compliance with ANSI B77.1, NFPA 70E, and manufacturer standards. You will guide a team of supervisors, lead mechanics, and technicians to sustain lift availability and reliability.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8–10 years of electrical ski lift experience, plus at least 3 years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 8–10 years of electrical ski lift maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, automation controls, drives, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight to the lift electrical team (supervisors, lead mechanics, technicians).
• Lead workforce planning, performance management, training, and professional development.
• Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the department.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and long-range upgrade strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with other lift teams and regulators.
