Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Senior Manager, Shared Services to lead vendor governance and contract strategy from its Marlborough, MA hub. The role focuses on governance design, risk mitigation, and negotiation of complex Work Orders and Change Orders.

The position requires 6–8 years in vendor management or shared services, with strong communication and global vendor experience. Hybrid in-office and remote work in Marlborough, MA offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or shared services.
• Strong knowledge of vendor governance frameworks, contract management, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing global vendors and offshore delivery models.
• Working knowledge of Ariba preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, leads, and optimizes vendor governance frameworks and contract strategies across Shared Services.
• Designs governance models ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and enterprise standards.
• Negotiates complex Work Orders, Statements of Work, Amendments and Change Orders.
• Establishes KPIs, SLAs, and service credits to drive performance and accountability.
• Leads cross-functional reviews to mitigate vendor-related risks and optimize value.
• Advises senior leadership on vendor investments and cost optimization.
