Job summary

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health seeks a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program Manager to provide statewide leadership on services, programs, policy, and access, focusing on high-quality, equitable care across the Commonwealth.

The Manager will lead staff, oversee budgets and contracts, influence contraception and abortion access, adolescent health, and related public health priorities, and work with partners to expand effective reproductive health programs.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of full-time or equivalent experience in public health program administration or management.
• Experience leading sexual and reproductive health programs or similar public health initiatives.
• Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and funding proposals; experience with grant development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide statewide leadership for the Sexual and Reproductive Health Program and supervise staff.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term program strategies to improve access and quality of care.
• Incorporate equity and justice into program planning and policy development.
• Monitor policy developments and adapt program and service delivery accordingly.
• Advise leadership on contraception, abortion access, adolescent health, and related public health issues.
• Manage contracts, vendors, and funding streams to ensure program success.
