Job summary

CDW is seeking a Senior Manager of Services Sales and Margin Accounting to lead the accounting and financial oversight of managed and professional services revenue. You will own revenue recognition, cost accounting, and gross margin reporting across recurring service arrangements while partnering with business leaders to drive growth and profitability.

You will guide monthly to annual close, evaluate complex contracts, and translate terms into operational requirements within financial systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience and 3+ years in management.
• CPA certification and public accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for managed and professional services revenue, costs, and gross margin.
• Evaluate contracts under ASC 606 including time-and-materials, fixed-fee, milestone, and recurring arrangements.
• Partner with Technical Accounting on complex judgments and document conclusions.
• Translate contract terms into operational requirements for project setup, revenue recognition, and billing within financial systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and Services Operations on budgets and completion estimates.
• Ensure revenue recognition estimates are timely and supported.
• Oversee unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, and related accruals.
• Resolve differences among service delivery, billing, and revenue recognition.
• Analyze revenue and gross margin trends and explain drivers to leadership.
