Job summary

CFS, based in Downers Grove, IL, seeks Manager of Financial Reporting to oversee SEC reporting and GAAP research, ensuring compliance with SEC rules and internal controls.

You will manage Form 10-Q/10-K filings, equity disclosures, and provide analysis of complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, and software. The role requires CPA and 6+ years' experience, with Big 4 or public company background, and offers a hybrid schedule with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA certification required or active pursuit with CPA status.
• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in GAAP, SEC, or public accounting.
• Experience at a Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting firm or public company preferred.
• Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills; proficient in U.S. GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex accounting issues under GAAP and FASB guidance.
• Prepare and file SEC documents, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K.
• Maintain and test internal controls related to SOX 404.
• Conduct technical accounting research and document positions.
• Provide recommendations to management on accounting treatments.
• Coordinate with auditors and legal to ensure regulatory compliance.
