Job summary

Oracle is seeking a senior leader to architect and oversee scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems across multiple teams in the United States. You will drive reliability through redundancy, replication, and automatic failover, while guiding data governance and security practices.

You will define SLOs, implement telemetry and dashboards, and ensure proactive incident management and on-call readiness. Collaboration across orgs and effective change management are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of software development/engineering experience.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems with emphasis on reliability.
• Experience with security controls, encryption, access management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees design and implementation of scalable distributed systems.
• Drives incident management, operational readiness, and on-call coverage.
• Guides data replication, synchronization, and fault-tolerance strategies.
• Ensures telemetry, KPIs, dashboards, and alerting are in place.
• Leads change management and automation/IaC initiatives.
