Job summary

Oracle is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide multiple teams in designing scalable distributed systems. You will standardize practices, oversee telemetry and KPIs, and drive incident management, encryption, and change management across cloud-scale platforms.

You will ensure fault-tolerant designs, durable data replication, and adherence to SLOs, enabling safe patching and upgrades while coordinating across engineering, security, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 9 years of experience in software development.
• B.Tech in CS/Engineering with 5 years of software development
• M.Tech in CS/Engineering with 3 years of software development
• Master’s Degree in CS/Engineering with 3 years of software development
• Doctorate in CS/Engineering with 1 year of software development

Responsibilities

• Manage scalable distributed systems across multiple teams and drive design for high-throughput workloads.
• Oversee data plane platforms for large-scale data retrieval, storage, and processing.
• Define SLOs, durability, and availability targets; ensure redundancy and replication strategies.
• Lead fault-injection, brown-outs, and testing scenarios to validate correctness and reliability.
