Job summary

Oracle is seeking a senior system design architect to lead the development of scalable, elastic distributed systems and define scalability requirements for high-throughput workloads. You will design fault-tolerant architectures, build dashboards and telemetry, and drive operational readiness while implementing robust security controls and IaC automation.

A strong emphasis on reliability, incident management, and change-management is required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable distributed systems and architectures.
• Ability to define scalability requirements and ensure design meets SLOs.
• Proven track record in reliability engineering and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and begin architecting scalable distributed systems.
• Define scalability requirements and optimize for high-throughput workloads.
• Design fault-tolerant, upgradable systems with redundancy and failover.
• Establish KPIs, telemetry, dashboards, and proactive monitoring.
• Mentor peers and ensure operational readiness.
• Implement security controls and IaC automation within change-management plans.
