Job summary

Oracle in Nashville, TN is seeking a leader to manage a team delivering scalable distributed systems and components. You will standardize engineering practices, drive high-throughput design, and oversee reliability, incident management, and security controls across multiple squads.

You will guide architecture for fault-tolerant, in-service-upgradeable systems, set SLO-aligned targets, and champion automation and IaC efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-throughput data processing and reliability design.
• Ability to define SLOs, durability targets, and incident readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversees design and implementation of scalable distributed systems across teams.
• Guides optimization for large-scale data processing and high-throughput workloads.
• Directs fault tolerance, replication, and automatic failover strategies.
• Establishes telemetry, dashboards, and KPIs for system health.
• Drives security measures, encryption, and access controls.
• Manages automation scripts and IaC for cloud infra.
• Leads incident management and change-management processes.
