Job summary

L3Harris in Waco, TX is seeking a Project Engineering Senior Manager to lead a ~15-person Project Engineering team. You will drive technical leadership across air vehicle modification programs, pursue new workloads, and oversee IR&D initiatives.

The role requires deep engineering leadership in DOD/Aerospace and broad program management expertise. You will mentor Program Chief Engineers, guide proposals, budgets, and staffing, and partner across functions to deliver on program objectives while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 12+ years of relevant experience; or Graduate degree with 10+ years.
• In lieu of a degree, 16+ years of related experience.
• 7+ years in Project Engineering or Technical Project Management.
• Air Vehicle and Systems Integration experience.
• Experience with FAA (STC) and Military (MTC) certification activities preferred.
• Experience with process improvement (CMMI or Six Sigma).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Security clearance: US citizenship with Secret or higher; ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of project engineers across multiple air vehicle programs.
• Provide technical mentorship to Program Chief Engineers and Project Engineers.
• Support proposal generation, Earned Value Management, and roadmaps.
• Forecast manpower needs and drive staffing for programs.
• Onboard and develop Project Engineers; manage performance expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering quality and delivery.
