Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices is seeking a Senior Manager in Platform Field Engineering. You will build and lead a team of customer-facing debug engineers responsible for server and rack-level HW/FW debug during customer bring-up and early deployment, with ongoing support through ODM factory builds.

You will set technical direction, drive root-cause analyses, and maintain strong engagement with AMD engineering, large data center customers, and global ODM partners.

Qualifications

• Experience leading customer-facing technical or engineering teams.
• Deep hands-on server and rack‑level HW/FW debug experience.
• Familiar with hardware bring-up, validation, manufacturing, EVT/DVT/PVT.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and escalation management.
• Experience with global ODM partners.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a team of customer-facing debug engineers.
• Customer Debug & Field Resolution: Lead debug of platform bring‑up and field failures.
• Escalation Management: Serve as senior escalation point for complex server/rack debug.
• Status Reporting & Roll‑Up: Own debug status tracking and updates for leadership.
• Factory Build Support: Triage HW/FW failures during ODM build and gates.
• Cross‑Functional Coordination: Align debug across design, validation, firmware, and FA.
• Resourceful Debug Under Constraint: Prioritize scarce hardware and enable remote debug.
• Customer & ODM Engagement: Partner with customers and ODM teams, advise on AMD tools.
