Job summary
Motorola Solutions is seeking aSenior Manager of Software Engineering to lead the Platform & Video Infrastructure organization in Chicago. You will guide a distributed team delivering high-throughput GCP infrastructure, AI-powered evidence pipelines, and secure video ingestion systems, balancing strategic vision with hands-on architectural leadership.
The role requires 10+ years in software/infra, 3+ years in engineering management, and 2+ years in DevOps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of progressive software, infrastructure, and platform engineering experience.
- 3+ years in direct engineering management leading distributed teams and 2+ years of DevOps experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead a distributed team of Senior Engineers, Tech Leads, and Engineering Managers building high-throughput GCP infrastructure, AI-powered evidence pipelines, and core video ingestion systems.
- Bridge long-term technical strategy with operational execution—driving platform reliability and scalable security architectures.
- Drive cross-organizational alignment with partner connector teams to standardize APIs, protocols, and ingestion performance.
