Job summary

RIVA Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior SME to guide AI governance and security policy for the USPTO. You will define and mature governance across Data, Development, Serving, and Control planes, translating federal guidance into concrete enforcement configurations and playbooks.

You will lead risk assessment and compliance reporting, advising leadership on AI risk, data handling, and regulatory alignment with NIST, OMB, and CISA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience applying NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP to AI serving infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Shape and maintain the AI governance framework for the USPTO.
• Translate regulatory guidance into actionable use-case policies.
• Define and maintain enforcement matrices for AI platforms.
• Oversee governance of four AI planes: Data, Development, Serving, and Control.
• Develop policy and MCP governance policies addressing agentic AI risks.
• Lead compliance, reporting, and remediation objectives with analytics pipelines.
• Advise on handling of sensitive data within AI workflows.
• Represent program in governance forums and executive briefings.
