Location

This role is remote within the eastern or central US, with travel across the country, focusing on IL, OH, MI, IN, PA, TN, MD, NJ, & WV. Ideal candidates will live near a major airport in the Great Lakes, Mid-West, or Mid-Atlantic regions, or near our offices, for a hybrid setup.

Primary Purpose of the Position

The Senior Manager of Sales will lead a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), focusing on acquiring new Energy Efficiency projects, aligning with growth objectives. Responsibilities include managing sales activities, developing territory strategies, coaching teams, and ensuring sales metrics are met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and guide BDMs in sales performance and pipeline development.
  2. Lead and mentor a diverse team of sales professionals.
  3. Develop sales strategies aligned with a consultative approach.
  4. Conduct pipeline reviews, support customer meetings, and foster relationships.
  5. Manage administrative tasks, including performance reviews and budgeting.
  6. Create sales forecasts, analyze performance, and report to leadership.
  7. Collaborate with project teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in consultative, solutions-based sales in relevant industries or equivalent experience.
  • Proven sales management experience and success in complex sales transactions.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and CRM skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of sales management experience.
  • Knowledge of building and mechanical systems and related sales experience.
  • Experience with long sales cycles and formal sales training.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM systems.
