Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Manager for Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) within the Corporate Programs Engineering Department. The role directs a staff of supervisors, NDE technicians and professionals across six nuclear facilities, with location at McGuire Island or other Duke Energy sites.

The position oversees NDE program planning, outage support, budgets, training, and compliance, while driving safety, performance, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree in related inspection field and 10 years nuclear experience.
• In lieu of a technical degree, 12 years nuclear experience.
• 10 years of professional level NDE experience in any method.

Responsibilities

• Lead NDE program across six nuclear facilities.
• Oversight of NDE Level III contractors and personnel.
• Develop outage budgets and plans; identify cost and manpower savings.
• Ensure NDE activities are performed safely, on-time, and within scope.
• Coach and develop staff; drive training & development plans.
