Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience within a large public accounting firm and/or multinational public company.
• Deep technical accounting expertise around ASC 805, ASC 350, ASC 360.
• Experience working within a multinational, publicly traded organization.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors and SOX control processes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Corporate Development on technical accounting throughout the M&A lifecycle.
• Coordinate with external auditors on opening balance sheets, valuation conclusions, and SOX compliance.
• Evaluate accounting for minority investments, convertible debt, equity method investments, and LP/LLC activities.
• Assess portfolio investments for impairment indicators and fair value adjustments.
• Support acquisition integration and post-acquisition accounting activities.
• Support quarterly and annual SEC reporting and external disclosure.

Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions Accounting to join its Corporate Accounting team and play a highly visible role in the company's continued growth through acquisitions, investments, and strategic transactions.

Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this is an opportunity to go beyond traditional technical accounting.

What You’ll Do

As a key technical accounting leader, you will:

• Partner with Corporate Development on technical accounting matters throughout the M&A lifecycle, from due diligence through closing and integration.
• Work closely with external auditors on opening balance sheets, valuation conclusions, and SOX compliance.
• Evaluate accounting for minority investments, convertible debt, equity method investments, and LP/LLC activities.
• Assess portfolio investments for impairment indicators and fair value adjustments and provide accounting recommendations.
• Partner with Corporate Tax to understand acquisition‑related tax strategies and ensure the appropriate accounting treatment.
• Support acquisition integration, including monitoring purchase accounting and post‑acquisition accounting activities.
• Support quarterly and annual SEC reporting and external disclosure requirements.
• Provide financial and business analysis to Corporate functions and senior leadership as needed.
• Lead or participate in global finance initiatives focused on process improvement, standardization, efficiency, and best practices.

What You’ll Bring
