CarsonLynch is partnering with a growing organization to identify an Accounting Manager, Acquisitions & Integration for a newly created role within its expanding finance organization. This position focuses on evaluating acquisitions, executing purchase accounting, and integrating newly acquired businesses to support ongoing growth.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting, M&A, and technical accounting, with experience in GAAP and complex transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with acquisitions, technical accounting, transaction accounting, or related areas.
  • Experience with purchase accounting, business combinations, and post-acquisition integration activities.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and complex accounting transactions.
  • Experience supporting valuations, purchase price allocations, or opening balance sheet activities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work through large, complex data sets.
  • CPA, public accounting, transaction advisory, or private equity-backed company experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting support for acquisitions from diligence through post-close integration.
  • Perform purchase accounting and business combination analyses in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare and review opening balance sheets, acquisition-related journal entries, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with valuation specialists and assist with purchase price allocations and goodwill analyses.
  • Drive chart of accounts conversions and financial statement mapping for newly acquired entities.
  • Partner with accounting and operational leaders to integrate acquisitions into the organization's reporting structure.
  • Build scalable processes, controls, and best practices to support future acquisition activity.

CarsonLynch is partnering with a growing, privately-equity backed organization to identify an Accounting Manager, Acquisitions & Integration for a newly created role within its expanding finance organization!

This is an outstanding opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys the intersection of M&A, technical accounting, and business integration. Rather than focusing solely on month-end close activities, this role will play a critical part in evaluating acquisitions, executing purchase accounting, integrating newly acquired businesses, and helping build the accounting infrastructure needed to support ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead accounting support for acquisitions from diligence through post-close integration
  • Perform purchase accounting and business combination analyses in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Prepare and review opening balance sheets, acquisition-related journal entries, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with valuation specialists and assist with purchase price allocations and goodwill analyses
