Job summary

Moab Regional Hospital seeks a seasoned Manager of Medical Staff Services to lead credentialing, privileging, onboarding, and governance for our medical staff. You will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and leadership to ensure compliant, efficient processes that support providers.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in medical staff services, preferably in rural settings, and may pursue CPCS/CPMSM within 18 months.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in medical staff services, credentialing, or related field; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in a rural or critical access hospital environment is strongly preferred.
• CPCS and/or CPMSM certification is suggested and preferred within 18 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee credentialing, privileging, provider onboarding, and medical staff governance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission standards, and state regulations.
• Maintain credentialing database and generate reports for medical staff committees.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and ongoing competence assessments with departments and leadership.
• Support recruitment, interviews, and on-site interviews for medical staff and APPs.
• Provide administrative support to Medical Staff Committees and governance processes.
