Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Sr. Manager – GCE Manufacturing Controls Engineering to lead a team of controls and robotics engineers onsite in Valley City, OH. You will oversee productivity projects, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement across regional sites.

You will apply PLC/robotics expertise, lead change, and partner with suppliers to standardize solutions that improve safety, uptime, and efficiency. Travel within the region is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing with 3+ years in leadership.
• Protrak project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a controls engineering team across manufacturing sites.
• Oversee productivity projects within scope, time, and budget.
• Troubleshoot robotics, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and drives for uptime.
• Collaborate with plant teams to drive process improvements and cost savings.
• Develop training programs to upskill engineering staff.
• Support line down situations and provide technical leadership.
