Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a seasoned Facilities & Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment and processes, and to oversee site expansion projects with Project Engineering to ensure timelines, scope and budgets are met in compliance with regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of maintenance experience, including 5 years in facilities or project management, with a preference for pharmaceutical/medical device

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Ten (10) years of maintenance experience with five (5) years in facilities management and/or project management.
• Seven (7) years of project management experience leading projects.
• Five (5) years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures plant utilities comply with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
• Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications including estimates on costs.
• Oversees facilities and equipment repairs and maintenance budgets and RFPs.
• Guides building space allocation, layout and facilities expansions.
• Plans and guides site equipment and facilities maintenance program including preventative maintenance and work orders.
• Develops maintenance strategy including lifecycle management for equipment and utilities.
• Creates criteria and specs for facilities/equipment meeting safety codes and energy reduction goals.
• Oversees internal moves and coordination with contractors and vendors.
• Manages supply ordering, inventory and vendor relationships.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or related field
