Job summary

AbbVie seeks a senior facilities and maintenance leader to manage staffing, scheduling, and execution of maintenance for manufacturing equipment and facility systems. You will oversee site expansion projects with Project Engineering to ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget, compliant with regulatory standards.

The role requires extensive experience in maintenance and facilities/project management, ideally in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry, and a strong focus on cGMP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or related field.
• Ten years of experience in maintenance with five years in facilities management and/or project management.
• Seven years of project management experience leading projects.
• Five years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that plant utilities are compliant to cGMP and regulatory requirements and meet all aspects of their designed functions.
• Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications to existing or new space, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.
• Oversees and manages the department facilities and equipment repairs and maintenance budget(s), all RFP processes for needed architectural firms, contractors, etc.
• Guides and directs building space allocation, layout and facilities expansions.
• Plans and guides site equipment and facilities maintenance program including but not limited to preventative maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and work order system
• Develops overall equipment, facilities and utilities maintenance strategy including lifecycle management
• Creates criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment required to meet unique operating requirements and building safety codes.
