Job summary

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager of Inventory Management to lead enterprise inventory strategy in Raleigh, NC. You will partner with Merchants, Vendors, and Distribution Centers to balance service levels with working capital and growth goals.

You will guide a team of Demand Planners and Inventory Analysts, drive KPI improvements, and influence senior leadership on long-term inventory capabilities. The role is hybrid, located at the corporate HQ in Raleigh.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, finance or related field.
• 7+ years in Inventory Management or related retail role; 3+ years in leadership.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (Blue Yonder, Relex, Manhattan, SAP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Business acumen and curiosity to investigate data root causes.
• Ability to present to leadership and prepare structured content.

Responsibilities

• Drive in-stock depth, inventory turns, and sales performance through replenishment strategies.
• Manage planogram purchases, seasonal buys, promotions, and advanced replenishment.
• Oversee PO placement from vendors to distribution centers to maintain inventory levels.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; forecast order volumes with key suppliers.
• Monitor KPIs daily and present inventory findings to drive cross-functional decisions.
• Lead the budgeting and weekly inventory planning processes with the team.
• Coach analysts on root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve inventory efficiency.
• Share department trends and lead cross-functional knowledge sessions.
