Job summary

Benefit Cosmetics is seeking the Manager, Internal Controls to partner with the CFO and senior leadership, overseeing the internal controls and audit framework across Benefit Cosmetics globally.

This role drives risk mitigation, training, ERP implementations, and collaboration with Legal on Ethics & Compliance, with hybrid onsite 3x per week at Benefit HQ in California; the position offers a target salary range of $155,000–$185,000 and eligibility for an annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ of relevant experience in internal controls, auditing, or risk management, including people leadership experience.
• CPA or CIA certification preferred.
• Proven experience in a business partnering capacity, with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution and continuous improvement of the internal controls framework.
• Lead the ERICA quarterly testing and self-assessment.
• Frame and challenge Major Risk Mapping across functions.
• Follow up on internal and external audit action plans.
• Partner with business teams to identify control gaps and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with Legal on Ethics & Compliance program.
• Embed a risk-aware mindset across HQ, markets, and operations.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the internal controls team.
