Job summary

You will supervise a team, coordinate with external auditors, develop audit policies, and report to the Audit Committee. A bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in internal auditing, including 3+ years in management, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• 7+ years related experience with ≥3 years in management.
• Experience in a financial institution and internal auditing in such setting.
• Advanced audit, risk, or compliance acumen in a complex environment.
• Strong analytics, SQL, Excel, and Access skills.
• CPA, CIA, CRCM, CAMS or equivalent designation required.
• Knowledge of consumer protection regulations, BSA, financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Internal Audit team, develops leadership skills, and manages performance and coaching.
• Performs risk-based audits aligned with professional standards; develops scope and reports on controls.
• Coordinates internal and external audits; supports annual external audit review and accounting procedures.
• Estimations of audit hours; tracks SLA metrics and remediation efforts.
• Identifies and evaluates risks and controls; delivers clear risk assessments to leaders.
• Maintains ongoing IA program qualifications and certifications; participates in governance bodies.
• Manages continuous monitoring to detect changes in risk.
