Job summary

City Year New York seeks a Senior Manager of Institutional Giving to join the Development and Communications team. Reporting to the Senior Director, you will manage a portfolio targeting roughly $4 million in private revenue annually and collaborate with City Year Headquarters to drive student impact through national service.

This full-time, hybrid role requires crafting pitches, narratives, budgets, and reports; coordinating events; and supporting donor communications while cultivating strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Experience with private foundations, corporations, and corporate foundations on the full moves management cycle.
• Budgeting and revenue forecasting.
• Translating quantitative and qualitative data into compelling narratives.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership to prepare pitches, narratives, and reports for higher-dollar funding and cultivate prospective partners.
• Conduct outreach on LinkedIn and other channels to develop corporate and foundation relationships.
• Draft pitches, narratives, and budgets; steward and grow a portfolio of funders.
• Oversee budgets and collaborate with finance to produce supporting documents.
• Coordinate events, newsletters, impact reports, and donor communications; manage Salesforce accounts.
