Overview
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Manager to lead the strategy, governance, and delivery of technology infrastructure across a large commercial real estate portfolio. This individual will serve as the key liaison between business operations, construction teams, and technology partners to ensure building technologies are secure, scalable, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure standards and technology strategy across a portfolio of commercial properties.
- Manage vendors, service providers, and technology partners supporting networking, physical security, building automation, and property technology solutions.
- Establish and enforce standards for network infrastructure, wireless technologies, firewalls, site connectivity, and operational technology (OT) environments.
- Drive vendor performance through KPIs, SLAs, contract oversight, and service governance.
- Partner with Construction, Engineering, Property Operations, and IT teams on new developments, renovations, and technology deployments.
- Ensure property technology environments are secure, resilient, integrated, and compliant with cybersecurity standards.
- Support smart building initiatives including BAS/BMS, IoT devices, access control, CCTV, Wi-Fi, and connected building technologies.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, asset inventories, and operational readiness across the portfolio.
- Provide technical leadership for escalations, technology roadmaps, and strategic infrastructure initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of infrastructure, networking, or operational technology experience within Commercial Real Estate, Property Management, Real Estate Development, Construction Technology, or Smart Building environments.
- Strong background supporting multi-site property portfolios and distributed environments.
- Experience with OT/IT networks, including switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, redundancy, and failover.
- Hands-on experience with building technologies including BAS/BMS, HVAC integrations, access control, CCTV, and IoT platforms.
- Proven success managing technology vendors, service providers, and complex infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for connected building environments.
- Experience utilizing AI-powered tools to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, or related networking credentials.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
Additional Information
- Hybrid work schedule based in Downtown Houston.
- Occasional domestic and international travel (less than 10%).
- Limited after-hours support for critical projects and escalations.
