Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Construction Project Manager to lead and coordinate the integration of IT infrastructure into large-scale development and construction projects.
This senior-level role bridges the gap between construction project management and enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring all IT-related dependencies are identified, budgeted, tracked, and delivered on time. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and IT teams to ensure seamless delivery of cabling, networking, and technology systems during the construction lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead IT program coordination across multiple, concurrent construction and development projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT infrastructure elements, including cabling, OSP, networking, and IoT systems (surveillance, access control, BMS, etc.).
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and IT teams during planning and construction phases to ensure requirements are scoped, budgeted, and executed.
- Manage IT infrastructure deliverables: fiber pathways, conduit systems, MDF/IDF design, wireless systems (Wi-Fi, LTE/5G).
- Provide project reporting, risk identification, and stakeholder updates.
- Ensure infrastructure components meet compliance, safety, and performance standards prior to go-live.
Required Experience
- 7+ years in IT-related construction project management (commercial real estate, hospitality, or large-scale development).
- Strong knowledge of OSP (Outside Plant), low-voltage cabling, fiber optics, MDF/IDF, and data center standards.
- Experience coordinating complex construction projects with IT/networking dependencies.
- Skilled in working with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and cross-functional project teams.
- Familiarity with BICSI, TIA, Telcordia, and NEC standards.
- Proven stakeholder management and vendor coordination experience.
Preferred Experience
- Background in hospitality, resorts, or mixed-use development.
- Familiarity with IT systems including access control, BMS, Wi-Fi, and A/V.
- PMP or BICSI RTPM certification.
- Knowledge of construction documentation and permitting processes.
