Job summary

Avangrid is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead Analyst in Connecticut to oversee and coordinate all infrastructure activities, including Database, Data Center, Network, and Platform infrastructure. You will manage staff, enforce roadmaps, and drive lifecycle planning, projects, and budgets to deliver reliable IT/OT services.

The role requires a Bachelor's + 10 years’ experience (Masters a plus) with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to navigate a dynamic

• Bachelor's degree with 10 years’ relevant experience required.
• Masters degree a plus.
• Experience as Infrastructure Lead Analyst or IT consulting role with prior IT Infrastructure project management and issue resolution.
• Project Management experience and Vendor and Licensing management experience is a plus.
• Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, organizational skills in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to proactively identify innovative solutions and explain complex concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Oversees activities surrounding all infrastructure aspects across the organization.
• Coordinates staff activities across Database, Data Center, Network, and Platform infrastructure.
• Ensures adherence to infrastructure blueprints and roadmaps.
• Manages and mentors staff; handles lifecycle planning and budgets.
• Leads infrastructure lifecycle management, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Drives efficiency and reliability while controlling costs.
• Executes infrastructure projects (Evolution, Transformation, Consolidation, Virtualization).
• Manages external Infrastructure Services and global coordination.
• Engages with Applications Team to define project requirements.
• Plans resources and assigns to projects aligned with pipeline.
• Delivers services in line with IT/OT metrics and processes.
• Provides leadership for client-led and IT/OT-led projects.

Job description

• Oversees the activities surrounding all infrastructure aspects under its responsibility, across Avangrid.
• Coordinates Database, Data Center, Network, and Platform infrastructure staff activities, prioritizes tasks, communicates task status with Operations Technologies (OT) Management and the client community.
• Ensures adherence to global/local infrastructure blueprints and roadmaps.
• Manages and mentors staff, as needed.
• Infrastructure lifecycle management (HW/SW).
• Technical evolution/refresh & support to infrastructure under its responsibility.
• Identifies opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reliability while reducing costs.
• Execution of infrastructure related projects (Technology Evolution, Transformation, Consolidation, Virtualization, etc.).
• Infrastructure Pipeline management.
• Technical expert support to issues resolution.
• Coordination and management of external Infrastructure Services.
• Engagement with Applications Team in order to define requirements and needs for Applications Projects execution.
• Resource planning and assignment to applications projects in alignment with Infrastructure projects pipeline.
• Ensure the delivery of services in line with IT/OT metrics and processes.
• Provide leadership for client led and IT/OT led projects.
• Handles task prioritization, performance monitoring, task assignment, task status reporting, project work, and overall lifecycle planning.
• Manages budgets (including rate case representation), dossiers, licensing, contract spend approvals and reports on budget variances.
• Local and Global Project Management Delivery.
• Manage coordination with the Global peers.
• Coordination for global infrastructure related projects.
• Manages resources (i.e., people, processes and technology).
• Maintains and develops the needed skills of the staff.
• Communicates employee feedback, researches and resolves employee questions, and reports performance appraisal results.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree with 10 years’ relevant experience required
• Masters degree a plus
• Experience in working as an Infrastructure Lead Analyst or an IT consulting role as well as prior managing IT Infrastructure projects and resolving day-to-day issues
• Project Management experience and Vendor and Licensing management experience is a plus.
• Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, organizational skills and ability to perform efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
