Job summary

Genea Energy Partners in Irvine/Remote US is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager for Information Security & IT to lead cybersecurity and corporate IT programs.

You will report to the CTO, drive SOC 2 Type 2 maturity, oversee cloud security (AWS/Azure), IAM, incident response, and AI security, and build scalable teams as the company grows.

The role combines strategic governance with hands-on execution in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across cybersecurity, information security, cloud security, or IT, including leadership experience.
• Strong technical experience with cloud-native SaaS environments (AWS/Azure) and IAM.
• Experience with SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, NIST or similar frameworks.
• Working knowledge of AI/GenAI cybersecurity risks, secure AI adoption, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature cybersecurity compliance program (SOC 2 Type 2, policies, controls, audit readiness).
• Lead cloud and application security with Engineering, DevOps, Platform, and Product teams.
• Drive IAM, identity governance, and least-privilege access; manage secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices.
• Oversee incident response, threat detection, and security operations across cloud and endpoints.
• Represent cybersecurity posture in customer discussions and vendor risk assessments.
