Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Controls & Governance to strengthen the control environment across Service Operations. You will oversee SOX and SOC 1 compliance, drive governance frameworks, and partner with control owners and audits to implement sustainable solutions.

The role requires strategic leadership, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, and Technology to ensure effective controls and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in governance, compliance, risk management, or internal controls
• Experience supporting SOX and/or SOC 1 control activities and audits
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication, including executive-facing reporting

Responsibilities

• Strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control processes across critical business activities
• Lead SOX and SOC 1 compliance activities and audit support
• Facilitate risk assessments and identify emerging operational and regulatory risks
• Drive remediation plans with clear ownership, timelines, and follow-through
• Develop executive communications, status reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership
• Provide guidance and training on internal controls and audit readiness
