Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Manager to lead strategic engine overhaul cost reduction. You will drive cost-saving initiatives across maintenance operations at domestic engine centers, contributing directly to program profitability.

Based in East Hartford or other sites, you will partner with program teams, finance, and engineering, requiring strong project management, financial acumen, and the ability to influence senior leadership. Travel quarterly is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 7+ years in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, CI, PM or aerospace/aftermarket; OR Bachelor’s with 10+ years of experience.
• Experience identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
• Familiarity with aviation, aerospace, or industrial processes.
• Ability to influence across management levels and to work in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze maintenance requirements and processes to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Partner with engine centers and finance, program teams, and engineering to prioritize savings.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to operational leadership to influence decisions.
• Use CORE CI tools to achieve savings across maintenance operations.
• Support decisions on material repair vs. replacement while balancing turnaround times.
• Benchmark engine centers to identify best practices and improvements.
• Collaborate with finance to analyze cost structures and track P&L impact.
• Travel quarterly to domestic engine centers to assess processes and drive improvements.
• Chair quarterly reviews with leaders to align on initiatives and progress.
