Job summary

RTX in East Hartford, CT is hiring a Senior Manager for Strategic Engine Overhaul Cost Reduction. The role focuses on optimizing maintenance processes for GTF engine overhauls at domestic centers, driving profitable cost reductions while aligning with global benchmarks.

The position requires strong project management, data-driven decision making, and the ability to influence across functions. Occasional travel to engine centers is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 7+ years in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or Aerospace/Aftermarket
• PM skills and experience driving change management
• Ability to influence and deliver results in a matrixed environment

Responsibilities

• Analyze maintenance requirements and processes to identify cost-reduction opportunities
• Partner with engine centers, finance, engineering to implement savings
• Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership on cost-management strategies
• Leverage CORE continuous improvement tools to achieve savings
• Support decisions on material repair vs replacement while balancing turnaround time
• Travel quarterly to domestic engine centers to assess processes and opportunities
• Own and deliver a rolling action items list (RAIL) for cost reduction initiatives
