Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp in Greensburg seeks an experienced DCC Operations Leader responsible for enforcing the Manual Of Operations and ensuring safety, reliable energy delivery across the Penn Power and West Penn Power regions. You will direct DCC personnel, coordinate with System Control Centers, and analyze data to drive improvements in outages, storms, and regulatory reporting.

The role requires leadership of DCC staff, collaboration with leadership, and a focus on continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or PE license preferred or equivalent related work experience.
• Related work experience in distribution operations and DCC Operations.
• Minimum of 7 years' professional work experience.
• Demonstrated past leadership in operational supervision and/or system operations duties.
• In-depth knowledge of electric theory, energy management and related IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Enforce strict adherence to the MOP in all operations with emphasis on safety of the public, employees and facilities.
• Coordinate operations with System Control Centers (FE South and FE West) for safe, reliable delivery.
• Coordinate outages with departments and with external utilities to minimize downtime.
• Provide direction to DCC personnel to address major electrical faults, storms, and abnormal events.
• Ensure adherence to Operating Procedures within Greensburg DCC for efficient outcomes.
• Maintain complete and accurate data/records for regulatory and reporting purposes.
• Integrate Greensburg DCC with field operations and enforce required communications practices.
• Lead projects to improve system performance and customer satisfaction.
