Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Manager of Operations to lead the Clark, Hartstown, McDowell and Clarion service centers. The role directs the 24/7 electric utility operations, ensuring safe, reliable delivery of electricity in compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will provide leadership to the operations teams, engage with union leadership, manage budgets, and guide incident response and outage restoration activities. Strong people leadership and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electric utility operations with leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent training considered.
• Experience administering collective bargaining agreements and HR policies desirable.
• Ability to lead teams, drive safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership for safety and reliability across a 24/7 operation.
• Build relationships with peers, staff and union leadership to strengthen safety culture and accountability.
• Plan, organize, and control the operational group and budget within regulatory guidelines.
• Interpret and apply bargaining agreements and company policies fairly.
• Respond to customer complaints and regulatory inquiries; oversee outage restoration coordination.
