Job summary

Jobtailor in North Carolina seeks an experienced District Leader to manage a network of branches and develop Branch Managers. You will drive growth across deposits, credit, and investments while ensuring strong customer and employee experiences on a solid risk foundation.

Responsibilities include translating strategy into branch priorities, conducting regular visits, coaching leaders, planning staffing, and partnering with HR on workforce readiness. Travel to branches is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience
• Proven success developing leaders through in-person and virtual engagement

• Ability to drive growth and execute strategies across multiple locations

Job description

• Lead a district of branches within the National Branch Network
• Develop high-performing Branch Managers
• Drive sustainable sales and growth across deposits, credit, and investments
• Deliver strong customer and employee experiences on a solid risk foundation
• Translate enterprise and regional strategy into branch-level priorities, routines, and expectations
• Conduct regular branch visits, observation, coaching, performance management, and business reviews
• Identify strengths, close performance gaps, and foster peer learning
• Plan staffing needs and build a strong talent pipeline
• Ensure branches have the appropriate leadership and skill mix
• Promote an inclusive and engaging environment through coaching, feedback, and development conversations
• Monitor customer feedback and resolve escalated concerns
• Execute National Branch Network strategies with regional and national stakeholders
• Grow consumer, affluent, and small business banking business
• Lead, coach, and develop Branch Managers to improve productivity and performance
• Hold Branch Managers accountable for acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
• Build leadership capability, succession readiness, and ready-now/ready-next talent pipelines
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR on workforce planning and hiring readiness
• Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, Home Lending, and Operations
• Manage risk, compliance, operational discipline, and organizational change
• Use performance reporting to identify opportunities and drive measurable improvements

Requirements

• 7+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience
• Proven success leading and developing people leaders through in-person and virtual engagement
• Experience coaching managers on performance, talent decisions, accountability, and sustained business outcomes
• Ability to drive growth and execute business strategies across multiple locations
• Strong analytical and business acumen
• Experience using performance insights to identify trends, diagnose opportunities, and guide leaders to measurable improvement
• Experience building partnerships across functions and levels in a matrixed environment
• Ability to lead through change while maintaining focus on execution, customer outcomes, and risk management
• Strong judgment, communication, and influence skills
• Ability to translate strategy into clear expectations
• Ability to work a schedule that may include Saturdays
• Ability to travel regularly within the assigned geography, averaging 3–4 days per week
